Board Goals for 2003-04

1. Implement the School Council Program at Anna K. Davie, Elm Street, North Heights, Southeast and West End Elementary Schools.

2. Continue efforts to improve test scores in all schools and in all subject areas.

3. Bid and work on Elm Street Elementary construction project.

4. Implement Reading/Language Arts textbook adoption.

5. Develop the 2003-04 school system budget reflecting state revenue reductions while maintaining quality programs and services.

6. Host a SACS Peer Review Team visit to all elementary schools.

7. Adopt and implement a revised promotion/retention policy.

8. Explore options for school board leadership development.
