Testing

The Criterion-Referenced Competency Test is administered to all students in grades 3-8 in reading, English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. All principals, testing coordinators, test examiners, and proctors have gone through extensive training on test security, distribution and collection of testing materials, administration of the test, and professional ethics. If there is a breach of testing security, professional ethics, improper handling of materials, or improper administration of the test; the state has provided procedures that will be followed. The procedures include an investigation and protocol for reporting to the state department.

EOCT Testing
Students in Rome City Schools will take the EOCT the week of May 13-17. The End Of Course Test is administered to all students in grades 9-12 in the following courses: Coordinate Algebra, Math I, Math II, 9th Literature, American Literature, US History, Economics, Biology and Physical Science. All principals, testing coordinators, test examiners, and proctors have gone through extensive training on test security, distribution and collection of testing materials, administration of the test, and professional ethics. If there is a breach of testing security, professional ethics, improper handling of materials or improper administration of the test; the state has provided procedures that will be followed.
