| Academic Competitions | |
| Math Team: qualifying test is given to all gifted math kids. Top 6-8 scorers make the team. The team participates in the Berry Math League Competition in the fall and spring. The team also participates in the Math Counts Competition held in February. | |
| Knowledge Master Open: qualifying test is given to all gifted math kids. Top 15-20 scores make the team. The team participates in the KMO in the fall and spring. | |
| National Geogragraphic Society Geography Bee: First round test is given to all gifted students. Top 10 then take the Final round test to determine the top 2. These 2 take the Championship round to determine the school winner. | |
| Spelling Bee: Each team conducts a written spelling bee to determine their top 10 spellers. A Bee is held on each team to determine their top 2 spellers. The school champion represents us in the RCS Bee. | |
