Accessing Wireless Networks

For Staff:
Access to wireless by DISTRICT PROVIDED devices (Staff laptops, desktops, etc.)
Use the network name: RCS Secure
Use your short username (ex. jdoe, jane.doe) and the same password you use to access your computer or email account
Hint: If you are a new employee, this network only works after your first sign in to a district work station or the MyRCS Portal.
Hint: If your password is expired you may experience difficulty connecting, see Technology Services if you are unable to use your password.
Access to wireless by GUESTS AND PERSONALLY OWNED devices (privately owned tablets, phones, and laptops)
Use the network name: RCS BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology)
There is no password for this network and it has no internal RCS network access
No certificates or imports are required
Same student internet content filters apply with no exceptions
Please Note: The use of personal assistant devices such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Google Nest, Etc. is not supported.
For Students:
Access to wireless by DISTRICT PROVIDED student devices (Chromebooks, iPads, etc.)
District owned devices are connected to wireless through the RCS Student Devices wireless network which will be automatically distributed OR connected by a Technology Services technician only.
Using mobile hotspots for connectivity on campus is not recommended and is a direct violation of the internet and device usage agreements and is subject to disciplinary action.
Access to wireless by PERSONALLY OWNED devices (privately owned tablets, phones, and laptops)
Use the network name RCS BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology)
There is no password for this network and it has no internal RCS network access
No certificates or imports are required
