Rome High School students brought home a slew of medals from the FCCLA State Leadership Competition in Columbus recently.

All told, students won eight gold and five silver medals from the STAR Events Competition. Students winning gold medals include Melanie Ramirez-Sian, Nancy Puac-Mendaz, Diego Reyes, Joshua Eaves, Samantha Acevedo, Alexa Acevedo, Madison Major, and Cierra Mobbs.

Mobbs not only won a gold medal for her Sustainability Project but is also advancing to the FCCLA National Conference in Orlando. This will be Mobbs' second trip to the national conference.

Students winning silver medals include Ashlyn Ixmay-Vicente, Desiree Garcia, Leslie Vicente-Ramos, Lashmi Rodriguez, and Addison Marshall. 

Rome High also had four students competing at the STATE Events. Those students are Adalyn Tyree, Kevin Lam, Diego Orellana, and Montana Boggs.

Lam finished number two in the state for his Digital Delish Dish project and won a $75 prize.
