ROME, GA - On January 10, 2023 the Rome City School Board approved the promotion of Mrs. Brittany J. Little to Assistant Principal of Elm Street Elementary School. Little is a double graduate of Auburn University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. She also holds a Tier I Leadership Certificate from the University of West Georgia and more than a half-dozen other certifications and endorsements in the field of education.
Little brings to the role of Assistant Principal 11 years of experience in elementary education. She began her teaching career at Montessori School of Rome in 2010, where she was a Teacher's Aide. Since then, she has worked at Rome City Schools, where she has served as a teacher at North Heights Elementary from 2011-2014, a teacher at Elm Street Elementary from 2017-2018 and again from 2020 to present, as Title I Academic Coach of Reading and Social Studies at Elm Street from 2018 to 2020, and most recently as an Elm Street Instructional specialist, a position she has held since July of 2022.
