Brendan Strickland, a student at Rome High School, was awarded the STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) student award, while his teacher, Seth Winstead, received the STAR teacher award from the Exchange Club of Rome. The award ceremony occurred on Friday, February 23, during a luncheon that honored all the STAR students and teachers within Rome and Floyd County.
