ROME, GA— The Rome City Schools Board of Education will hold a called board meeting on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Rome Board of Education administrative offices in the former boardroom located at 508 East Second Street. The Board will enter executive session to discuss personnel.

Rome City Schools Proof of Residency Information
ROME, GA— As we prepare to welcome our Wolves back to the classroom, it is important to note that parents have an option to bring proof of residency to their home schools beginning July 18, 2022, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
or 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Parents also have the option to upload an electronic copy using the PowerSchool Parent Portal or email the document to the school with their name and student’s name included.
Additionally, students may bring in a copy during the first week of school and submit the document to their teachers.

Rome City Schools Called Board Meeting June 28
ROME, GA— Rome City Schools Board of Education held a called meeting on June 28, 2022, to discuss the hiring of a superintendent of schools to fill the vacant position.
The Board opened the meeting with a public session and moved immediately to executive session where they spoke with Dr. Samuel King, Director of Superintendent Search and Board Development for the Georgia School Board Association (GSBA). King presented the Board with the applicants and walked them through the process used to narrow the field of potential hires.
After the executive session, the Board adjourned and scheduled an additional meeting for July 18, 2022, at 5:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Central Office in the RCS Board room. During this meeting the Board will review potential hires. No GSBA representative will be present for this meeting.

The Rome Board of Education will have a work session on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. The work session will be held at the Rome Board of Education Administrative Offices in the former Boardroom located at 508 East Second Street.
The purpose of this work session is to discuss the FY 23 Proposed Budget as well as other items.
Rome High School Seniors began their day on Friday April 22, gathered together for the 2022 Senior Sunrise Breakfast, held in the College and Career Academy Black Box.
A Senior Spotlights/Superlatives slideshow played in the background as coffee, juice, pastries, fruit and biscuits were served by culinary arts pathway students.
